Blinding them with science

We began our science unit today: Sun, Moon and Stars. The students are working on checking the position of the sun in the sky three times and then recording their findings.

  2. This is really cool. Our class is learning about the sun in science and telling time in math. We want to try this to. Can you tell us how to do it?

  3. Hello

What a briliant science experiment. My class now want to have a go too!

Unfortunately the sun hasn't come out all week, it has been freezing here!

I hope you have had a good week.

  4. We're glad you liked our post! We had fun doing it. Here are the instructions:
    1. One partner held a clipboard and a paper with their partner's name on it. The other partner stood on a line that was pointing east and west. The two partners faced each other.
    2. The students that were standing on the line were facing south.
    3. The partner on the line pointed to the sun and the partner with the clipboard drew their arm.
    4. We did one in the morning, one at lunch time, and one in the afternoon.

Thank you for checking out our blog!
